Even Dorothy makes a triumphant return in Maguire\u2019s magnificent Oz finale\u2014tying up every loose green end of the series he began with his classic&nbsp;<em>Wicked<\/em>, the basis for the smash hit Broadway musical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2-stars.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2-stars.png\" alt=\"2 stars\" class=\"wp-image-7357\" width=\"256\" height=\"128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2-stars.png 512w, https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/2-stars-300x150.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 256px) 100vw, 256px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>My Thoughts<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was so excited when I learned of the release of this book. When it finally came, though, I had trouble getting through the first few pages, so I waiting a few weeks and dove back in head first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I both listened to this on my way to work every day &amp; read it at night before falling asleep. I pretty much lived it for a while. Unlike the other books, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3D9cDC0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Out of Oz<\/a><\/em> showed potential at first, but failed to live up it. It was as if the book was caught in its own desire to be as complicated or literary as possible. Although I love Maguire&#8217;s style of writing, I&#8217;m not sure he wasn&#8217;t just going over the top for the sake of trying to round out this series.
