We&#8217;ve heard it before, how important it is to a story. The setting of a story can move about, but it is no less important (I believe) than the characters or the plot. I got a <strong>5-star review<\/strong> recently that made me think I might have done something right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>This story is well written. When I started I couldn&#8217;t put it down until I finished. It&#8217;s been awhile since I finished a book that fast. When it comes to stories like this, you realize how limiting language truly is. This would be an excellent book for a psychology or philosophy class. I highly recommend this book.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you haven\u2019t picked up a copy,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B07FXQB5YC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">try it out<\/a>. The premise is simple, but the story has been giving me fits as I put certain literary rules in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am about halfway through the story and really hope to be much closer to the end of the first draft by November. I was planning to post a snippet, but will hold off until another time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have another project I will be attempting for my first ever NaNoWriMo event. That one is outlined, set up and ready to go. As a library nerd (I practically lived in them when I was very young), I was immediately immersed in the story, following each of the fleshed out characters as they navigated The System. Not being from New York, the descriptions and pacing made me feel like I had been before, something I admire as a hallmark of a good narrative.
