This story was written in 2003, back when the typewriter was on the desk beside me. I lost it in a flood about fifteen years ago, but I still have that itch to find another. I just hope the one I find doesn\u2019t come with something attached to it.<\/div><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/2021\/10\/17\/short-story-sprouts\/\">Short Story: Sprouts<\/a><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-excerpt\">There is, in fact, a forest in central Arizona which burned down in 1990. I took a trip there a few weeks after the fire had been put out and snapped the picture that inspired this story. I didn&#8217;t actually write it until 2003, but it was that picture which was taped to my monitor the whole time.<\/div><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/2021\/09\/24\/short-story-terminal-conversations\/\">Short Story: Terminal Conversations<\/a><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-excerpt\">Time travel has been written about so many times, there can\u2019t be anything fresh in it. I decided to play with time travel once\u2014and only once.\n\n\u201cTerminal Conversations\u201d appeared in Travel a Time Historic, an anthology published in 2005.<\/div><\/li>\n<li><a class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-title\" href=\"https:\/\/bxwretlind.com\/blog\/2021\/08\/25\/short-story-harlans-holes\/\">Short Story: Harlan&#8217;s Holes<\/a><div class=\"wp-block-latest-posts__post-excerpt\">I sat and stared at holes in my wall one day before I started writing this. I\u2019m pleased with how everything flowed together.
